Dr. Wedad Abdelrahman
Consultant Dermatologist, London
Dr. Wedad Abdelrahman is a fully qualified UK-trained consultant dermatologist, registered with the General Medical Council with a special interest in paediatric and medical dermatology.

After graduating from Queen’s University of Belfast with distinction, she completed her four year speciality training programme in Northern Ireland. Before completing training, Dr. Abdelrahman embarked on a prestigious fellowship in laser working alongside plastic surgeons at one of the UK leading centres for Burns and Plastic Surgery in Swansea. She was the second dermatologist in the UK to achieve this.
In 2018, Dr Abdelrahman went on to complete a highly competitive fellowship in medical dermatology at the world renowned St John’s Institute at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, looking after medically complex patients with inflammatory and immunobullous skin diseases. She held a substantive consultant post at St John’s institute running paediatric and adult clinics as well as tertiary specialist clinics in immunobullous skin diseases, hidradenitis suppurativa and epidermolysis bullosa.
Dr. Abdelrahman has published and presented extensively at a national and international level. She has a keen interest in medical education and holds an MSc in Clinical Education with the Queen’s University of Belfast. She was extensively involved in teaching of undergraduates students as well as postgraduates on the MSc programme in Clinical Dermatology.
Dr Abdelrahman was the national chief investigator for a commercial clinical trial for paediatric psoriasis. In her current role as Associate Medical Director, she is involved in international clinical trials focused on new and innovative treatments for skin conditions.
